Darwin, NT: The Darwin Sri Sithy Vinayakar Temple at Malak is preparing to celebrate its Inaugural Annual Festival from 11 to 14 September 2026, bringing together devotees, families and the wider Darwin community for four days of religious ceremonies, cultural performances and community celebrations.

Located at 44 Patterson Street, Malak, the festival will feature a range of traditional Hindu rituals, including Ganapathy Homam, Abishekam, special poojas, Lakshmi Homam, Navagraha Homam and other religious ceremonies.

One of the key highlights will be the procession of Lord Sri Sithy Vinayakar, along with cultural performances and community gatherings throughout the festival.

The festival is being organised by The Hindu Society of N.T. Incorporated, with organisers warmly inviting people from all backgrounds to participate and experience the religious and cultural traditions.

Speaking ahead of the festival, the temple management is expected to highlight the importance of preserving Hindu traditions, bringing families together and passing cultural heritage on to younger generations in Darwin.

The four-day celebration will begin on Friday, 11 September, and continue through Monday, 14 September.
